The Uncommon Reader - Alan Bennett A cute little novella about what happens when Queen Elizabeth II borrows a book from the mobile library parked near Buckingham Palace. At 120 pages, this is a very quick and lighthearted read. The subtle humor is typically British. It made me smile, but not laugh out loud. A bit of a farce, it has that slight aura of unreality. One cannot really imagine the Queen behaving like this!
